A website is a “must have” for every business these days. As technology has gotten more sophisticated, so have the requirements and expectations for company websites. The good news is that SDA can help you create the ideal website for your business needs. We can build a brand new site from the ground up, or update and refresh an existing one. Either way, SDA can help you create a robust online presence that is in alignment with your branding and business goals. And don’t let cost be a reason to put it off any longer: we will stay within your allotted budget. Dream big, and we’ll tailor your dreams to your available resources.

The first step in getting your new website is to dive deep with our web designers. Derrick Fadden is our lead website developer here at SDA, and he guides the build of all our client sites. We asked him what clients should bring to their kickoff meeting with him and here is what he said.

Example Sites: Find websites of competitors and others in your field that you like so we can check out their functionality, features, and content. Also, bring samples of sites you like solely for the look, color scheme, etc. We can use these to help us brainstorm ideas for your website.

Branding: Do you have a logo and strong brand identity already? If not, never fear, we can create this for you and keep it consistent throughout your site.

Current Marketing Collateral: Bring any printed marketing materials you already have, such as flyers, business cards, brochures, logos, labels, etc. We can use these as a point of reference to maintain continuity with your branding.

Photos/Videos/Resources: Do you have photos and videos of your products or service? Imagery is crucial to building an eye-catching website, and not having them can delay production. However, if you don’t have photos yet, don’t let that stop you. SDA can provide in-house product photography for you, or send a photographer to your location.

Functionality: What does your website need to do? Will it have e-commerce capability? Is it purely informational? Do you want a blog or an easy way to communicate with customers? Think this through and let us know—a custom site can be built to your custom needs!

Size and Scope: How large does your website need to be? How many pages? Do you need a site map, product pages, about us page, contact page, blog section, FAQs, etc.?

Wish List: Is there anything you want but haven’t seen anywhere before? What else are you looking for in a website?

Current Website Info: If you have a website already, bring all the info about it, including hosting and domain information, as well as login credentials.

One of the most crucial pieces of website information that clients need to know is that websites require maintenance. It is not a one and done project—it is a living piece of technology and ongoing representation of your business. Just like having your house painted, you will need to continue to care for, update, and improve your website once the initial build is completed. SDA provides that maintenance service to many of our happy clients.

Once SDA creates your website, it’s just the beginning of our partnership in assisting you with keeping your site active and effective as a sales and marketing tool. Check out some of our favorite websites that we have created (and maintained!) over the years.
